Imagine how crazy it would be to photograph an entire family hanging from a cliff. Well, just a few weeks ago my crew and I pulled it off... and I've got a whole bunch of behind the scenes pictures to show how it all went down!
When I first meet with a family to go over concept's for their photograph, I try to block out the fact that the shot we might come up with could --quite literally-- be impossible. I always think that we will have to tone the image down a bit for the "real thing". However, 99 percent of the time, we end up going all out with the original plan, and this shot of the Blanchard's was no exception.

I started having my productions filmed in HD recently, and I thought I would give you some screen captures from this particular video. Two of the coolest members of the family, (their gold fish, and tarantula:)), are not in this set of photographs, but will be included in an update as soon as I get my hands on that part of the video.



I will have to say that the hardest part of this image was the goldfish bowl, and its splash. It's one thing to cut out an object, it is however, an entirely different thing to cut out transparent liquid, and have the background show through the water and glass...phew!
